Buckingham Palace
The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, Scots Guards, accompanied by The Duke of Kent, Colonel, was received this afternoon in the Bow Room at Buckingham Palace by the Regimental Lieutenant Colonel (Brigadier Henry Nickerson) and Major James Kelly (Regimental Adjutant), before moving to the Terrace Steps and being received with a Royal Salute.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness then, separately, inspected the Regiment.
The Queen subsequently presented New Colours to the 1st Battalion and F Company Scots Guards in the garden before being graciously pleased to address the Regiment and the Regimental Lieutenant Colonel replied.
The Scots Guards afterwards marched past The Queen and The Duke of Kent.
His Royal Highness, Colonel, Scots Guards, was present subsequently at an Afternoon Party for the Regiment in the garden of Buckingham Palace.
The Bands of the Scots Guards and the Grenadier Guards played selections of music during the afternoon.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the Pakistan Society, this evening attended a Dinner given by the Rt. Hon. the Lord Mayor at the Mansion House, London EC4, to mark the Seventieth Anniversary of the founding of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

His Royal Highness this evening attended the launch of the New Plastics Economy Innovation Prize at the Saatchi Gallery, King’s Road, London SW3.
The Duchess of Cornwall, Royal Colonel, 4th Battalion The Rifles, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Carl Boswell upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Peter Baines upon assuming the appointment.
