The Queen this afternoon attended a Luncheon at Drapers’ Hall, Throgmorton Avenue, London EC2, to celebrate the Seventieth Anniversary of Her Majesty’s appointment as a Freeman and was received by the Lord Mayor, Locum Tenens (Sir David Wotton) and the Master (Mr. William Charnley).
The Queen was elected to the Court and met Wardens and Court Assistants.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, London Youth, this afternoon held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the Charity’s One Hundred and Thirtieth Anniversary.

The Prince of Wales this morning held a Meeting with ProSilva representatives for the Prince of Wales’s Foundation, Romania, at Viscri, Brasov County, Romania.
His Royal Highness was represented by the Lord Morris of Aberavon KG (formerly Secretary of State for Wales and Attorney General) at a Celebration of the Life of the Rt. Hon. Rhodri Morgan (formerly First Minister of Wales and Leader of the Welsh Labour Party) which was held at the Senedd, Cardiff Bay, this morning.

The Duke of York, Patron, STFC Harwell and Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus, this morning opened the Hartree Centre, Daresbury Laboratory, Sci-Tech Daresbury, Keckwick, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire (Mr. David Briggs).
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Birchwood Park, Warrington, Cheshire.
The Duke of York later visited Asda Automated Distribution Centre, Omega South, Warrington.
His Royal Highness, Fellow, the Royal Society, this evening held a Reception at St. James’s Palace.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon departed from St. Pancras International Railway Station for Belgium.
Her Royal Highness this evening attended the Finals of The Queen Elisabeth Music Competition “Cello” at the Centre for Fine Arts, Brussels.

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, today carried out the following engagements in Ireland.
His Royal Highness this morning visited Kinsale Lifeboat Station, Adams Quay, Worlds End, Kinsale, County Cork and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Ireland (His Excellency Mr. Robin Barnett).
His Royal Highness later visited Crosshaven Lifeboat Station, Crosshaven, County Cork.
The Duke of Kent this afternoon attended a Lunch at Royal Cork Yacht Club, 12 Lower Road, Knocknagore, County Cork.
His Royal Highness later arrived in the United Kingdom from Ireland.

Princess Alexandra, President, Queen Alexandra Hospital Home, this afternoon received Mr. John Paxman upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive.
Commodore James Fanshawe (Chairman) and Mrs. Valerie Walker (Director of Nursing) were present.
Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, Children and Families Across Borders, received Mrs. Kumari Blakey upon relinquishing her appointment as Chairman and Mr. Alan Howarth upon assuming the appointment.
