COURT CIRCULAR

Palace of Holyroodhouse

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh arrived at Edinburgh Airport this afternoon.

The Queen drove to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and was received in the Forecourt by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost) and members of the City of Edinburgh Council, when the Rt Hon the Lord Provost surrendered to The Queen the Keys of the City, which Her Majesty returned to him.

A Guard of Honour found by Balaklava Company, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, under the command of Major Colin Wood, was mounted in the Forecourt.

Afterwards Her Majesty was received inside the Palace by the Hereditary Keeper (the Duke of Hamilton and Brandon).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Member, Incorporation of Hammermen of Glasgow, this evening attended a Reception to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of The Prince Philip Prize, the Trades House of Glasgow, 85 Glassford Street, Glasgow, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Eva Bolander, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, and Patron, Lawn Tennis Association, today attended the Lawn Tennis Championships at Church Road, London SW19.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Founder, Pitch@Palace, this morning attended Pitch@Palace on Tour for entrepreneurs and potential supporters at the Hub, Aberdeen Energy Park, Exploration Drive, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Aberdeen (Councillor George Adam, the Lord Provost).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited ABVenture Zone at the University of Aberdeen, MacRobert Building, King’s College, Aberdeen.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chancellor, this afternoon visited the University of Bath, Claverton Down, Bath, Somerset.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of Bath, this evening attended the Chancellor’s Dinner at Bath Assembly Rooms, Bennett Street, Bath, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Mrs Richard Maw).

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Blind Veterans UK, this morning visited the Royal Horticultural Society Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, East Molesey, Surrey, and was received by Wing Commander Michael Dudgeon (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, London Children’s Flower Society, this afternoon visited Baston House School, Baston Road, Bromley, and was received by Colonel Robert Murfin (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this afternoon departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for China.

Mrs Malcolm Innes and Captain Nicholas Wright RN are in attendance.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, this afternoon attended the Opening Day of the Lawn Tennis Championships at Church Road, London SW19.
