Buckingham Palace
The King and Queen of Spain, with the Spanish Suite in attendance, took leave of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning and left Buckingham Palace.
Their Majesties, accompanied by The Duke of York, afterwards visited the Francis Crick Institute, 1 Midland Road, London NW1, and were received by the Chairman (Sir David Cooksey) and Sir Paul Nurse (Director and Chief Executive).
The King and Queen of Spain, with His Royal Highness, toured the Institute and met members of the Spanish scientific community working at the Institute and members of the Society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom.
Their Majesties this afternoon visited the Weston Library, Broad Street, Oxford, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mr Timothy Stevenson) and the Chancellor of the University of Oxford (the Lord Patten of Barnes).
The King and Queen of Spain, escorted by Ms. Catriona Cannon (Deputy Librarian and Keeper of Collections, Bodleian Library) and Dr Virginia Llado-Buisan (Head of Conservation and Collection Care, Bodleian Library), viewed an exhibition of Spanish items in the University of Oxford archive.
Their Majesties subsequently walked to the Divinity School and were entertained to Luncheon by the Chancellor of the University of Oxford.
The King and Queen of Spain afterwards attended a Reception at Exeter College, Oxford, for members of the Spanish community at the University and were received by the Rector (Professor Sir Richard Trainor).
The Earl Peel (Lord Chamberlain) was present at Royal Air Force Brize Norton later upon the Departure of The King and Queen of Spain and bade farewell to Their Majesties on behalf of The Queen upon the conclusion to the State Visit to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.
By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Mazen Homoud at 6 Phillimore Gardens, London W8, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Court of St James’s.
By command of Her Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr Eldred Bethel at 10 Chesterfield Street, London W1, today in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Commonwealth of the Bahamas in London.

The Prince of Wales this morning visited Moneypenny, Western Gateway, Wrexham, and was received by Mr Lloyd FitzHugh (Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd).
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Llaeth y Llan Village Dairy, Llannefydd, Denbigh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd (Mr Henry Fetherstonhaugh).
The Prince of Wales, Honorary Air Commodore, later visited Royal Air Force Valley, Holyhead, Anglesey.
His Royal Highness, Patron, the Welsh Historic Gardens Trust, afterwards visited Plas Cadnant, Menai Bridge, Anglesey, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwynedd (Mr Edmund Bailey).

The Duke of York this afternoon attended the Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon, London SW19.

The Princess Royal this morning visited Plymouth Marine Laboratory, Prospect Place, the Hoe, Plymouth, and was received by Sir John Cave, Bt (Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Devon).
Her Royal Highness, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, this afternoon visited the Exeter Group at Oaklands Riding School, the Rosary, Balls Farm Road, Exeter, to mark its Fiftieth Anniversary and was received by Rear-Admiral Christopher Snow (Deputy Lieutenant of Devon).

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this morning received Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Malcolm Ross (Lord Prior).
His Royal Highness, Honorary Air Marshal, Royal Air Force, this afternoon attended the Royal International Air Tattoo at Royal Air Force Fairford, Gloucestershire.
