The Prince of Wales this morning departed Wick Airport for Belgium and was received this afternoon upon arrival at Kortrijk-Wevelgem International Airport by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium (Her Excellency Ms Alison Rose).
His Royal Highness, on behalf of The Queen, afterwards attended the United Kingdom Passchendaele Centenary Commemorations at Tyne Cot Cemetery in the presence of The King and Queen of the Belgians.
The Prince of Wales later attended the Welsh Passchendaele Centenary Commemorations at Langemark, before visiting the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery at Artillery Wood.
His Royal Highness this evening arrived at Wick Airport from Belgium.
Major Harry Pilcher was in attendance.
Kensington Palace
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this morning visited Bedford House Cemetery, Rijselseweg, Ieper (Ypres), Belgium.
Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon attended the Commemoration Service marking the Centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele at Tyne Cot Cemetery, Vijfwegestraat, Zonnebeke.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge later arrived at Royal Air Force Marham from Belgium.
Mr Miguel Head, Mrs Rebecca Priestley and Lieutenant Commander James Benbow were in attendance.
Buckingham Palace
The Princess Royal today visited the Isle of Wight and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Major General Martin White).
Her Royal Highness, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, this morning visited the Isle of Wight Group at Osborne House, East Cowes.
The Princess Royal this afternoon visited Cowes Week Limited offices, Regatta Close, 18 Bath Road, Cowes, and subsequently viewed Cowes Week races.
Her Royal Highness, Admiral, the Royal London Yacht Club, this evening attended a Reception at the Parade, Cowes.
The Princess Royal, Honorary Member, Royal Yacht Squadron, afterwards attended the Annual Crew Dinner at the Castle, Cowes.
