The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Lady Haig Poppy Factory, 9 Warriston Road, Edinburgh, and was received by Mr Kingsley Thomas (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Edinburgh Construction Skills Academy, Fourthside, West Shore Road, Edinburgh.

The Duke of Gloucester, Vice President, Lepra, this evening attended a Dinner at Edinburgh Castle and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

The Duchess of Gloucester, Chief Patron, this afternoon visited Fleming Fulton School, Upper Malone Road, Belfast, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast (Mrs Fionnuala Jay-O’Boyle).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Abernethy Butter, 66 Ballynahinch Road, Dromara, and was received by Mrs Fionnuala Cook (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of County Down).

The Duchess of Gloucester this evening attended a Gala Dinner at Belfast City Hall, Donegall Square, Belfast, to celebrate Special Schools in Belfast and, as Chief Patron, to celebrate the Sixtieth Anniversary of Fleming Fulton School.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning visited the National Trust “Back to Backs”, 55-63 Hurst Street/50-54 Inge Street, Birmingham, and was received by Mr Brendan Connor (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Weston Beamor, 3-8 Vyse Street, Birmingham, and was received by Mr Simon Topman (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

The Duke of Kent later officially opened the new premises of A Perry and Company (Hinges) Limited, Doulton Road, Cradley Heath, Staffordshire, and was received by Professor Rachid Gatrad (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).
