The Earl and Countess of Wessex, on behalf of The Queen, today carried out engagements in Brunei Darussalam for the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning attended a Parade in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Luncheon at the Istana Nurul Iman.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards undertook a river tour of jungle sites near Bandar Seri Begawan.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this evening attended a Reception given by the British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam (His Excellency Mr Richard Lindsay) at the Residence in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The Princess Royal this morning opened a distribution hub at Palletforce plc, Callister Way, Burton-on-Trent, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr Ian Dudson).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Townswomen’s Guilds, later unveiled a Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, Croxall Road, Alrewas, Staffordshire.

The Princess Royal, Patron, National Association of Official Prison Visitors, afterwards visited HM Prison Manchester, 1 Southall Street, Manchester, and was received by Mr Paul Griffiths (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester).

Her Royal Highness Patron, the National Pony Society, this evening attended the Mountain and Moorland Ridden Championship at the Horse of the Year Show, the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, and was received by Mr David Bradnock (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened the new Anthony Best Dynamics Limited Factory, Middleton Drive, Bradford on Avon, and was received by Lieutenant-General Sir Roderick Cordy-Simpson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Tithe Barn, Pound Lane, Bradford on Avon, and was received by Mr Robert Floyd (Deputy Lieutenant of Wiltshire).
