The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.
There were present: the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Justine Greening MP (Secretary of State for Education), the Rt Hon John Hayes MP (Minister of State for Transport Legislation and Maritime) and the Rt Hon David Mundell MP (Secretary of State for Scotland).
The Rt Hon Ian Blackford MP and the Rt Hon Edward Young were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.
Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.
The Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.
The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.
The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended The Countess of Wessex Cup between Royal Air Force Wittering, 5th Battalion The Rifles, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps and The Lincoln and Welland Regiment of which Her Royal Highness is Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Colonel, Colonel-in-Chief and Colonel-in-Chief respectively, and HMS Daring, at Catterick Garrison, Catterick, Yorkshire.

Her Royal Highness, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, subsequently visited the Berwickshire Group to mark the Fifteenth Anniversary of their Headquarters, Sunnyside, Reston, Eyemouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Berwickshire (Mrs Jeanna Swan).
