The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Justine Greening MP (Secretary of State for Education), the Rt Hon John Hayes MP (Minister of State for Transport Legislation and Maritime) and the Rt Hon David Mundell MP (Secretary of State for Scotland).

The Rt Hon Ian Blackford MP and the Rt Hon Edward Young were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Prince Henry of Wales, Patron, 100 Women in Finance Philanthropic Initiatives, and Patron, WellChild, this evening attended a Dinner at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Cromwell Road, London SW7, and was received by Dame Fiona Woolf (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of York, Patron, Services Sound and Vision Corporation, this morning opened the Forces Media Academy, Chalfont Grove, Narcot Lane, Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon attended a Lunch at St James’s Palace.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this evening attended a Dinner at Roux at the Landau, Marylebone, London W1.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended The Countess of Wessex Cup between Royal Air Force Wittering, 5th Battalion The Rifles, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps and The Lincoln and Welland Regiment of which Her Royal Highness is Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Colonel, Colonel-in-Chief and Colonel-in-Chief respectively, and HMS Daring, at Catterick Garrison, Catterick, Yorkshire.

The Princess Royal, President, UK Fashion and Textile Association Limited, this morning opened the Pattern Weaving Shed at Holland and Sherry Limited, Venlaw Road, Peebles, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tweeddale (Professor Sir Hew Strachan).

Her Royal Highness, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, subsequently visited the Berwickshire Group to mark the Fifteenth Anniversary of their Headquarters, Sunnyside, Reston, Eyemouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Berwickshire (Mrs Jeanna Swan).

The Princess Royal, President, Scotch Beef Club, this afternoon visited Hardiesmill Farm, Hardiesmill Place, Gordon, Berwickshire.

Her Royal Highness, Prime Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this evening attended the Court Autumn Dinner, Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.
