The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, 48th Highlanders of Canada, today received Honorary Colonel Geordie Elms, Honorary Lieutenant Colonel Michael Scott and Lieutenant Colonel Harry Pedwell (Commanding Officer).

Dr Vijay Rangarajan was received in audience by The Queen this afternoon and kissed hands upon his appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil.

Mrs Rangarajan was also received by Her Majesty.

The Lord Ashton of Hyde was received by The Queen upon relinquishing his appointment as a Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty.

The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended the Man Booker Prize for Fiction Annual Award Ceremony and Dinner at Guildhall, London EC2.
