COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Ellison Greenslade was received by The Queen today upon his appointment as High Commissioner for the Commonwealth of the Bahamas in London.

Mrs Greenslade was also received by Her Majesty.

The Queen held a Council at 5.30 p.m.

There were present: the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Alun Cairns MP (Secretary of State for Wales), the Rt Hon David Gauke MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) and the Rt Hon Michael Gove MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).

The Rt Hon Dame Sarah Asplin, the Rt Hon Nicholas Hurd MP, the Rt Hon Sir Peter Jackson, the Rt Hon Eleanor Laing MP and the Rt Hon Samuel Wilson MP were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

The Rt Hon Sir Timothy Holroyde made affirmation as a member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Andrea Leadsom MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon received Lieutenant General John Lorimer (Defence Senior Adviser to the Middle East).

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Trust, this evening attended the “Invest in Futures” Reception at St James’s Palace.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Shelterbox, this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this morning attended an Assembly at Ark Burlington Danes Academy, Wood Lane, London W12, to discuss young people’s mental health.

His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening held the Centrepoint Awards at Kensington Palace.

Kensington Palace

Prince Henry of Wales this morning visited Transition Intervention and Liaison Service at the Lakes Mental Health Hospital, Turner Road, Mile End, Colchester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex this evening arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from India.

The Countess of Wessex, President, Westmorland County Agricultural Society Limited, this morning attended the Annual General Meeting at Lane Farm, Crooklands, Milnthorpe, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria (Mrs Peter Hensman).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Royal Mencap Society, this afternoon visited Carlisle Mencap, Unit J3, Duchess Avenue, Baron Way, Kingmoor Park North, Carlisle, to celebrate their Fiftieth Anniversary.

The Countess of Wessex later opened Annie Mawson’s Sunbeams Music Trust, Stoller House, Redhills, Penrith, Cumbria.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, British Olympic Association, this afternoon attended the Team GB Flag Raising Ceremony at the Pyeongchang Athletes’ Village, Republic of Korea.

Her Royal Highness, President, British Olympic Association, this evening attended a Reception to welcome Team GB to the Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games at the Yongpyong Greenpia Condominium Hotel, 715 Olympic-ro, Daegwalnyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do.

The Princess Royal, Member, International Olympic Committee, and Chairman, International Olympic Committee Members Election Commission, afterwards attended the International Olympic Committee President’s Dinner at the Kensington Flora Hotel, 221-1 Ganpyeong-Ri, Jinbu-myeon, Pyeconghang-gun, Kangwon.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon received the Hon Elizabeth Dowdeswell (Lieutenant Governor of Ontario).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this evening attended the Board of Grand Stewards’ Dinner at the Garrick Club, 15 Garrick Street, London WC2.
