COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency Ms. Susana de la Puente-Wiese was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Peru to the Court of St. James’s.

His Excellency Mr. Raffaele Trombetta was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Italian Republic to the Court of St. James’s.

Mrs. Trombetta was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Queen, Patron, Protector And Supporter, Royal Academy of Arts, received Mr. Christopher Le Brun (President) and Dr. Charles Saumarez-Smith (Secretary and Chief Executive).

The Queen gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening for the Commonwealth Diaspora from across the United Kingdom.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duchess of Gloucester were present.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, accompanied by Prince Henry of Wales, this morning attended a Meeting of The Prince of Wales’ International Sustainability Unit, at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

His Royal Highness, President, WWF-UK, this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House.

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Dragoon Guards, later received Lieutenant Colonel James Lane upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Watts upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Army Air Corps, received Lieutenant Colonel Gavin Rundle upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer, 1 Regiment, and Lieutenant Colonel Charles Scott upon assuming the appointment, and received Lieutenant Colonel Nicholas English upon assuming his appointment as Commanding Officer, 3 Regiment, and Lieutenant Colonel Paul Stewart upon assuming his appointment as Commanding Officer, 5 Regiment.

Colonel Jonathan Bryant (Colonel) was present.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Member, International Olympic Committee, and President, British Olympic Association, today attended the XXIII Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea (His Excellency Mr. Charles Hay) at the Residence in Seoul.

St. James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this afternoon arrived at Gatwick Airport, London, from Cyprus.

Captain Alexander Potter was in attendance.

Appendix to Court Circular

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Mr. Barry Mitford to be a Serjeant-at-Arms to Her Majesty in succession to Mr. Brian Stanley.
