COURT CIRCULAR
Palace of Holyroodhouse
The Queen, accompanied by Prince William, Earl of Strathearn and The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning attended a Service in St. Giles’ Cathedral for the Installation of the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry and Sir Ian Wood as Knights of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle.
Her Majesty and Their Royal Highnesses were received at St. Giles’ Cathedral by the Chancellor of the Thistle (the Earl of Airlie), the Dean of the Thistle (the Very Reverend Professor Iain Torrance) and the Minister of St. Giles’ (the Reverend Calum MacLeod).
The Hon. Augustus Stanhope (Page of Honour to The Queen) was in attendance.
A Guard of Honour was mounted in Parliament Square West by The Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers, with the Colours of the Royal Company, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Sir Malcolm Ross, and accompanied by the Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
The Queen gave a Lunch Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for the Knights of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle.

The Prince of Wales this morning visited Ysgol San Sior, Church Walks, Llandudno, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd (Mr. Henry Fetherstonhaugh).
His Royal Highness, President, the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty, afterwards visited Bodysgallen Hall, the Royal Welsh Way, Llandudno.
The Prince of Wales, Royal Founding Patron, Prime Cymru, this afternoon attended the Prime Cymru Awards, Bodysgallen Hall.
His Royal Highness afterwards visited St. Digain’s Church, Llangernyw, Conwy.
The Prince of Wales later visited Gwydir Castle, Llanrwst, Conwy.
Buckingham Palace
The Duke of York this morning received His Excellency Mr. Liu Xiaoming (Ambassador from the People’s Republic of China to the Court of St. James’s).
His Royal Highness, Founder, Pitch@Palace, this afternoon held an Event for Pitch@Palace Alumni at Buckingham Palace.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Severn and Wye Smokery Limited, Chaxhill, Westbury-on-Severn, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).
His Royal Highness later visited the Fish Hut, Broadoak, Newnham-on-Severn, Gloucestershire.
The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited Glevum Windows, Doors and Conservatories, Broadoak.
His Royal Highness, Patron, subsequently visited Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum, Custom House, the Docks, 31 Commercial Road, Gloucester.

The Duke of Kent, President in Chief, the British Racing Drivers’ Club, this morning attended the practice session of the Formula One British Grand Prix, Silverstone Circuit, Towcester, Northamptonshire.
