COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Karen Bradley MP (Secretary of State for Northern Ireland), the Rt Hon Sir Alan Duncan MP (Minister of State for Europe and the Americas, Foreign and Commonwealth Office), the Rt Hon Tobias Ellwood MP (Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Defence) and the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP.

The Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.

Mrs Ceri King was in attendance as Deputy Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited St Tudy Community Shop, Wadebridge Road, St Tudy, Bodmin, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited the Gate-to-Plate Food Market, High Street, Honiton, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr David Fursdon).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Sussex, Patron, Rugby Football Union, this morning attended a Board Meeting at Twickenham Stadium, Middlesex.

His Royal Highness, Patron, afterwards attended the Rugby Football Union Injured Players Foundation Annual Client Forum at Twickenham Stadium.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning held a Meeting.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this morning visited Torteval Parish Church, Rue du Belle, Torteval, to celebrate its Bicentenary, and was received by the Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Bailiwick of Guernsey (Vice Admiral Sir Ian Corder).

Her Royal Highness, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this afternoon visited Point Robert Lighthouse, Point Robert, Sark, and was received by the Seigneur (Major Christopher Beaumont).

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, subsequently visited Les Casquets Lighthouse, Les Casquets.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Chancellor, this afternoon presided over the University of Surrey Undergraduate Degree Ceremonies, Guildford Cathedral, Stag Hill, Guildford, Surrey.
