Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Earl Peel (Lord Chamberlain) at the Service of Thanksgiving in celebration of the Life of Mr Barry Dodd (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire) which was held in York Minster, North Yorkshire, this morning.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were represented by the Lord Crathorne.

The Duke of York was represented by Mr Peter Scrope.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mr Andrew Coombe.

The Duke and Duchess of Kent were represented by Sir William Worsley, Bt.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Past Captain, the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, today attended a Luncheon and attended the Open Championship at Carnoustie Golf Links, Angus.

The Princess Royal, Commodore-in-Chief, Portsmouth, this morning attended the Maritime Warfare School’s Annual Ceremonial Divisions at HMS Collingwood, Newgate Lane, Fareham, and was received by Rear Admiral Iain Henderson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire).

Princess Alexandra this afternoon visited Mayfair Community Centre, Easthope Road, Church Stretton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire (Sir Algernon Heber-Percy).

Her Royal Highness later visited Merrythought Limited, Merrythought Village, Ironbridge, Shropshire.
