The Duke of York, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this afternoon received Major Grant Baker upon relinquishing his appointment as Regimental Adjutant and Major James Gatehouse upon assuming the appointment.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Reception for Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies at the Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.

of Stirling and Falkirk (Mr Alan Simpson).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Citizens Advice Scotland, this afternoon opened the new premises of Clackmannanshire Bureau, Glebe Hall, Burgh Mews, Alloa, to mark their Fiftieth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Clackmannanshire (Lieutenant Colonel Johnny Stewart).

The Princess Royal afterwards opened Perth and Kinross Association of Voluntary Services’ Betty Ross Memorial Garden, the Gateway, North Methven Street, Perth, and was received by Dr James Kynaston (Deputy Lieutenant of Perth and Kinross).

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon officially opened Mole Avon Country Stores, Mill Street, Crediton, Devon.

His Royal Highness afterwards officially opened Chulmleigh Community College, Chulmleigh, Devon.

The Duke of Gloucester subsequently opened the extension of Condition Monitoring Group Limited, Hatchmoor Industrial Estate, Torrington, Devon.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester this evening attended a Reception and Presentation for the Scientific Exploration Society at the Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London SW7, to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Blue Nile Expedition.
