Buckingham Palace
The Queen this morning opened the new Headquarters of Schroders plc at 1 London Wall Place, London EC2, and was received by the Chairman (Mr Michael Dobson), Mr Peter Harrison (Group Chief Executive) and the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor (Alderman Charles Bowman).
Her Majesty toured the building, escorted by the Chairman and Group Chief Executive, viewing items from the archives and meeting board members and members of staff.
The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.
There were present: the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP (Chancellor of the Exchequer), the Rt Hon David Lidington MP (Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office) and the Rt Hon Esther McVey MP (Secretary of State for Work and Pensions).
Sir Jonathan Baker, Dame Nicola Davies, Sir Nicholas Green and Sir Charles Haddon-Cave were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.
Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.
The Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.
The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.
The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Prince of Wales today undertook the following engagements in Lagos, Nigeria.
His Royal Highness this afternoon embarked in NNS Ekulu in Lagos Naval Dockyard and witnessed pre-deployment training serials in Lagos Harbour.
The Prince of Wales afterwards joined business leaders for a Meeting for Accounting for Sustainability at the Kingfisher Club.
His Royal Highness, Vice Patron, later attended a Festival celebrating Arts and Culture at the British Council.
The Prince of Wales this evening attended the Deputy British High Commissioner’s Reception at the Residence of the British High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Nigeria.
Mrs Amanda MacManus was in attendance.

The Duke of York, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this afternoon held a Regimental Council Meeting at Buckingham Palace.
His Royal Highness later received the Rt Hon Ms Penelope Mourdant MP (Secretary of State for International Development) and the Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon (Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office).

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon received His Excellency the Hon Paul de Jersey (Patron).
His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Trustees, The Prince Philip Trust Fund for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, later chaired a Meeting and this evening attended a Dinner at Combermere Barracks, Windsor, and was received by Mr Andrew Panter (Deputy Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire).
The Countess of Wessex, Patron, this morning attended the Awareness Foundation International Conference at Copthorne Tara Hotel, Scarsdale Place, London W8, and was received by Lady Arnold (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, Commodore-in-Chief, Canadian Fleet Pacific, this morning attended a Reception at the Château Lacombe Hotel, Bellamy Hill Road North West, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Her Royal Highness afterwards attended a Reception at Government House, 102 Avenue, Edmonton, for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award — Canada.
The Princess Royal, President, Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth, this afternoon attended the Commonwealth Agriculture Conference at Edmonton Expo Centre, Avenue North West, Edmonton.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association, afterwards attended a Reception at Edmonton Expo Centre.
The Princess Royal, President, Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth, this evening attended the Taste of Canada Gala Dinner at Edmonton Expo Centre.

His Royal Highness, Patron, St George’s Society of New York, this evening attended the Advisory Council Dinner at the House of Lords.
The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, this evening attended a Dinner at the Lansdowne Club, 9 Fitzmaurice Place, Mayfair, London W1.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George, this morning carried out the following engagements in Malta to celebrate the Order’s Two Hundredth Anniversary.
His Royal Highness first visited the Upper Barrakka Garden, Valletta, and laid a wreath at the tomb of the Hon Lieutenant General Sir Thomas Maitland (first Grand Master of the Order).
The Duke of Kent later called upon The President of the Republic of Malta at the Grandmaster’s Palace, Valletta.
His Royal Highness afterwards viewed restored paintings of St Michael and St George at the Grandmaster’s Palace.
Subsequently Dr George Vella (former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Malta) was received by The Duke of Kent at the Grandmaster’s Palace when His Royal Highness presented him with the Insignia of an Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George.
The Duke of Kent afterwards opened the Order of St Michael and St George in Malta 1818-2018 Exhibition at Malta Postal Museum, Archbishop Street, Valletta.
His Royal Highness, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this afternoon laid a wreath at Pieta Military Cemetery.
The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, this evening attended a Reception at the Residence of the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Malta to celebrate the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St. George.
His Royal Highness later attended a Dinner onboard HMS Diamond in the Grand Harbour, Valletta.
