Buckingham Palace
The Queen, Patron, this morning visited the Headquarters of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, 12 Great George Street, London SW1, to mark its One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the President (Mr John Hughes) and Mr Sean Tompkins (Chief Executive Officer).
Her Majesty viewed an exhibition about the contribution of surveyors to society and met members of staff, and locked a “Penfold Letter Box” time capsule to be opened on the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the Institution.
The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.
There were present: the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP (Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government), the Rt Hon David Gauke MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice), the Rt Hon David Lidington MP (Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office) and the Rt Hon Amber Rudd MP.
The Rt Hon Stephen Barclay MP was sworn in as a member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.
The Rt Hon Stephen Barclay MP took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union.
The Rt Hon Amber Rudd MP took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.
The Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.
The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon gave a Reception at St James’s Palace to mark the 80th Anniversary of the Kindertransport Rescue Programme.
His Royal Highness, Visitor, afterwards visited the Royal College of Art, Hester Road, London SW11, and was received by Dr Paul Knapman (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
The Prince of Wales this evening held a Dinner for the International Rescue Committee at St James’s Palace.

The Duke of Cambridge this morning attended the This Can Happen Conference on workplace mental health at InterContinental London — the O2, 1 Waterview Drive, London SE10, and was received by Dr Pieter van der Merwe (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
His Royal Highness, President, United for Wildlife, this afternoon received Sir David Attenborough (Naturalist and Broadcaster).
The Duchess of Cambridge this morning held a Meeting of the Steering Group convened by the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to inform Her Royal Highness’s charitable “Early Years” initiative.
