The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Lord Geidt (Permanent Lord in Waiting) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Major-General Sir John Swinton (formerly Major-General Commanding Household Division and General Officer Commanding London District, and formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Berwickshire), which was held at Swinton Kirk, Swinton, Berwickshire, this morning.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Brigadier Harry Nickerson.

The Duke of Cambridge this afternoon arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from New Zealand.

Dr Simon Case, Mr Jason Knauf and Mr Christian Jones were in attendance.
