The Princess Royal, President, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences, this morning departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Canada and was received upon arrival at Calgary International Airport this afternoon by the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta (the Hon Salma Lakhani).
Her Royal Highness later met Commonwealth Study Conference delegates at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, 107 Tunnel Mountain Drive, Banff, Alberta.
The Princess Royal this evening attended a Dinner for Commonwealth Study Conference delegates at Banff Centre.

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this afternoon invested Mr Paul Griffiths as Prior of the Priory of Wales at Llandaff Cathedral, Cardiff, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Mrs Morfudd Meredith).

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this afternoon named the lifeboat DUKE OF EDINBURGH at Wells Lifeboat Station, Beach Road, Wells-next-the-Sea, and was received by Mr Robert Carter (Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk).
His Royal Highness later sailed in RNLB DUKE OF EDINBURGH to Wells Quay, Wells-next-the-Sea, and attended a celebration on the quayside for the new lifeboat.
