Balmoral Castle
The King this morning visited Scalan Seminary and Mills, Ballindalloch, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire (Mr Andrew Simpson), the Acting Co-Secretary of Scalan Association (Mrs Patricia Nisbet) and Mr David Toovey (Treasurer).
His Majesty viewed the North and South Mills and received a briefing on the history of the Mills and an overview of the restoration project and the wider estate context by Mr Mark Johnston (Head Ranger, Glenlivet Estate), Mr Ian Innes (Builder, Project Restoration Team) and Mr Gordon McGillivray (local historian), before meeting volunteers and representatives of organisations involved with the conservation work and subsequently, having been received by the Acting Chairman of Scalan Association (Father Colin Stewart), touring the Seminary.
The King later visited Tomintoul and Glenlivet Discovery Centre and Museum, 43 The Square, Tomintoul, Ballindalloch, and was received by the Chairman of Tomintoul and Glenlivet Development Trust (Mrs Elizabeth Smith).
His Majesty, escorted by the Chairman, toured the Centre and Museum and met members of staff, before viewing the Tomintoul Coat.
Afterwards, The King proceeded on foot to Tomintoul Village Store, meeting local shopkeepers and members of the community.
His Majesty, having been received by Brigadier Hugh Monro (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire), subsequently visited the pupils of Tomintoul Primary School, followed by a visit to a local affordable housing project at Auld School Close, Tomintoul.
The King this evening attended Beating Retreat by Balaklava Company, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland at Balmoral Castle and subsequently attended a Reception given by the Guard Commander (Major Robert Weir).

The Prince of Wales this morning visited Mates in Mind at a construction site in West London was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).
The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales, this morning held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Dragoon Guards, this afternoon received Major General Timothy Hyams (Colonel).
His Royal Highness, Colonel-in Chief, The Queen’s Royal Hussars, received Brigadier Nicholas Cowley (Colonel).
The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning attended a Gender and Climate Change Meeting at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, King Charles Street, London SW1.
Her Royal Highness, Royal Colonel, The Queen’s Own Yeomanry, this afternoon received Major General Timothy Hyams (Colonel).

The Princess Royal this afternoon attended the Department for Business and Trade’s Northern Ireland Business Summit at the International Conference Centre Belfast, 2 Lanyon Place, Belfast, and was received by Mrs Anne McGregor (Deputy Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast).
Her Royal Highness, Patron, International Sheep Dog Society, later attended the World Sheep Dog Trials at Gill Hall Estate, Lurgan Road, Dromore, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Down (Mr Gawn Rowan Hamilton).
The Princess Royal subsequently unveiled a Royal British Legion Community Bench in Dromore Square, Dromore, and was received by Mrs Catherine Champion (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of County Down).
Her Royal Highness this evening attended the Department for Business and Trade’s Northern Ireland Business Summit Reception at Hillsborough Castle.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Cultura Trust, and The Duchess of Gloucester this morning attended a briefing on the Barnard Castle Project at Raby Castle, Staindrop, Darlington, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Durham (Mrs Susan Snowdon).
Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited the “Rising Project” at Raby Castle, Staindrop, Darlington.
The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Cathedrals in Pilgrimage, and The Duchess of Gloucester, Royal Patron, Cathedral Music Trust, later visited Durham Cathedral.
