The King this morning visited James Jones and Sons Limited, Burnroot Sawmill, Aboyne, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr Alexander Manson) and the Chairman (Mr Tom Bruce-Jones).
His Majesty, escorted by the Chairman and Mr Duncan Cassie (Site Manager), toured the site, viewing the log sorting cabin, log yard, operations room of the main sawmill and treatment plant, and meeting members of staff and apprentices.
The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.
