The King this morning visited James Jones and Sons Limited, Burnroot Sawmill, Aboyne, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr Alexander Manson) and the Chairman (Mr Tom Bruce-Jones).

His Majesty, escorted by the Chairman and Mr Duncan Cassie (Site Manager), toured the site, viewing the log sorting cabin, log yard, operations room of the main sawmill and treatment plant, and meeting members of staff and apprentices.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

The Prince and Princess of Wales today visited Cardiff to mark the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of the arrival of HMT Empire Windrush to the United Kingdom, and the start of Black History Month.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited Race Council Cymru at Grange Pavilion, Grange Gardens, Cardiff, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Mrs Morfudd Meredith).

The Prince and Princess of Wales this afternoon visited Fitzalan High School, Lawrenny Avenue, Cardiff.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this afternoon attended a Luncheon at Wiltons, 55 Jermyn Street, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Patron, GB Snowsport, this evening attended a Celebration Reception at 181 Piccadilly, London W1.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning visited Brooklands Innovation Academy at Brooklands Museum, Brooklands Drive, Weybridge, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr Michael More-Molyneux).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Minchinhampton Centre for the Elderly, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening visited Horsfall House, Windmill Road, Minchinhampton, and was received by Mrs Margaret Austen (Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire).

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited the Warners Textile Archive Exhibition, Braintree Museum, Manor Street, Braintree, to mark the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of Warner and Sons, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Hedingham Castle, Halstead, Essex.

The Duke of Gloucester, Vice Royal Patron, the Almshouse Association, afterwards visited the Courtauld Homes of Rest, Halstead Almshouses, Hedingham Road, Halstead.
