COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Bernhard Wrabetz was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Austria to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Wrabetz was also received by His Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Antonio de Aguiar Patriota was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Cooper Patriota was also received by His Majesty.

Ms Corin Robertson (Director General, Finance and Corporate, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) was present.

The following were received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon their appointment as Governors: Mr Daniel Pruce (the Virgin Islands: Governor designate) and Ms Julia Crouch (Anguilla).

Mrs Rachael Elizabeth Morgan was also received by His Majesty.

The following were received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon their appointment as His Majesty’s Ambassadors: Ms Melanie Barlow (the Lao People’s Democratic Republic) and Ms Dawn McKen (Montenegro).

Mr Matthew Sparrowhawk was also received by His Majesty.

The King this afternoon visited Lambeth Palace Library, 15 Lambeth Palace Road, London SE1, to mark Inter Faith Week and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Archbishop of Canterbury and Mr Hugh Cahill (Senior Librarian).

His Majesty viewed interfaith items in the Library’s collection and, having being received by the Reverend Dr Richard Sudworth (Secretary of Inter-Religious Affairs, Lambeth Palace), attended a Reception for Interfaith Leaders.

The Queen, Vice Patron, the Royal Commonwealth Society, this afternoon held an Awards Ceremony at Buckingham Palace for The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this morning visited the Hideaway Youth Project, the Armani Centre, Shoreham Close, Manchester, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mrs Diane Hawkins).

His Royal Highness this afternoon met members of the local community and volunteers from Keeping It Real at Moss Side Millennium Powerhouse, 140 Raby Street, Moss Side, Manchester.

The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this morning held a Meeting at Windsor Castle.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, today carried out the following engagements in Auckland, New Zealand.

His Royal Highness this morning attended a Mihi Welcome Ceremony and Award in Action Celebration at Blue Light, 159 Dominion Road, Red Hill, Papakura.

The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon set sail on the Spirit of New Zealand in the Hauraki Gulf, accompanied by representatives of the Spirit of Adventure Sail Trust to mark their Fiftieth Anniversary.

His Royal Highness later received Dame Helen Winkelmann (Chief Justice) at Government House. The Duke of Edinburgh this evening attended an Education Workshop at Government House.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Vice Patron, the British Horse Society, this morning attended a Coaching Career Insight Day at Ingestre Stables, Ingestre, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr Ian Dudson).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Butler Trust, later visited HM Prison Drake Hall, Eccleshall, Staffordshire.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Transaid, this evening attended a Reception at London Transport Museum, 39 Wellington Street, London WC2, and was received by the Reverend Canon Dr Flora Winfield (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust, this morning attended the Nuffield Farming Scholarships Conference at Sandy Park, Sandy Park Way, Exeter, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr David Fursdon).

The Duchess of Gloucester, Royal Patron, Cathedral Music Trust, this afternoon attended Evensong followed by a Reception in Westminster Abbey, London SW1.
