COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Roy Leonardo Barreras Montealegre was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Colombia to the Court of St James’s.

Mr Claudia Fernanda Gonzalez Amortegui was also received by His Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Tore Hattrem was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Norway to the Court of St James’s.

Ms Marit Gjelten was also received by His Majesty.

Ms Corin Robertson (Director General, Finance and Corporate, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) was present.

The King this afternoon visited Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre, London W5, and was received by Mr Richard Kornicki (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), Mr Andrew Rollings (Director) and Councillor Hitesh Tailor (Mayor of the London Borough of Ealing).

His Majesty toured the Christmas Market in the Town Square and met local business owners before meeting winners of The King’s and Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

The King viewed performances by a Polish choir and the Impact Theatre group before undertaking a walkabout outside the Shopping Centre.

His Majesty afterwards drove to Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery, Ealing Green, London W5, and was received by the Chairman of Trustees (Mr Howell James) and Ms Clare Gough (Director).

The King viewed restoration works that have been carried out inside and outside the house and met craftsmen and women and stonemasons involved.

The Queen this morning opened Winter Flowers Week at the Garden Museum, 5 Lambeth Palace Road, London SE1, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Majesty, President, the Maggie Keswick Jencks Cancer Caring Centres Trust, this evening attended the Carol Service in St Paul’s Cathedral, London EC4.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, today attended a Meeting at the offices in London.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon held a World Fellowship Luncheon at St James’s Palace.

His Royal Highness, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended a Dinner at St James’s Palace to celebrate the World Fellowship’s Thirty Sixth Anniversary.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Irish Regiment (27th (Inniskilling), 83rd, 87th and The Ulster Defence Regiment), this afternoon held a Meeting at St James’s Palace.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended the Macmillan Cancer Support Carol Service at St John’s Smith Square, London SW1.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, President, Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, this morning received Professor the Lord Kakkar (Chairman).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, later attended the Annual Diploma and Awards Ceremony at Central Hall Westminster, Storey’s Gate, London SW1, and was received by Dr Martin Griffiths (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Men Matters Scotland, Drumchapel, 20 Drumchapel Road, Glasgow, and was received by Councillor Ruth Maltman (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow).

His Royal Highness later visited the Paul O’Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre in Gartnavel General Hospital, 1053 Great Western Road, Glasgow.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards attended a Reception at St Mungo’s Museum, 2 Castle Street, Glasgow.

His Royal Highness, Joint President, Cancer Research UK, this evening attended a Carol Concert in Glasgow Cathedral.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Association for all Speech Impaired Children, this evening attended a Christmas Concert at the Church of St Andrew Holborn, 5 St Andrew Street, London EC4.
