The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo, and was received by the British High Commissioner to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (His Excellency Mr Andrew Patrick).
Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, afterwards carried out the following engagements in Colombo to commemorate the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of United Kingdom-Sri Lanka Bilateral Relations.
The Princess Royal, President, United Kingdom Fashion and Textile Association, visited MAS Active, Katunayake.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, Save the Children UK, later visited the Save the Children Sri Lanka Head Office, 18 Sinsapa Road, Colombo, to mark its Fiftieth Anniversary.
The Princess Royal, Patron, Save the Children UK, afterwards visited a Save the Children Sri Lanka programme at Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, Gnanartha Pradeepaya Road.
Her Royal Highness this evening called upon The President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Mrs Wickremesinghe at The President’s House, Colombo.
The Princess Royal subsequently attended a Dinner given by The President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Mrs Wickremesinghe at The President’s House to commemorate the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of United Kingdom-Sri Lanka Bilateral Relations.
