Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited Headingley Stadium, St Michael’s Lane, Leeds, where His Royal Highness, on behalf of The King, invested Mr Robert Burrow and Mr Kevin Sinfield with the Insignia of Commanders of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today carried out engagements in Sri Lanka to commemorate the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of United Kingdom-Sri Lanka Bilateral Relations.

Her Royal Highness this morning visited the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Sri Dalada Maligawa, Sri Dalada Veediya, Kandy.

The Princess Royal this afternoon met representatives of the Tamil Community at Jaffna Public Library, Kankesanthurai Road, Jaffna.

Her Royal Highness later visited the Halo Trust De-mining site, the United Nations Development Programme and International Organisation for Migration Resettlement site, Muhamalai.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester this morning attended a briefing by the Environment Agency on the recent impacts of flooding in Alney Island, Gloucester, and, having been received by Mr Henry Robinson (Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire), met residents, volunteers, and representatives from the Gloucestershire community affected.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards met residents, volunteers and representatives from the Gloucestershire community affected by recent flooding in Abbey Terrace, Tewkesbury.
