The Queen this evening attended a Musical Evening in Salisbury Cathedral to celebrate the work of local charities and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire (Mrs Peter Troughton).

By command of The King, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Javier Esteban Figueroa at 49 Belgrave Square, London SW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Argentine Republic to the Court of St James’s.

The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon attended a Reception at the Institute of Physics, 37 Caledonian Road, London N1, and was received by Mr Paul Herbage (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Production Guild of Great Britain, this evening attended the Talent Showcase at the Savoy Hotel, Strand, London WC2.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, UK Armed Forces Winter Sports Association, today attended the Inter-Services Snow Sports Championships in Méribel, France.

Her Royal Highness this evening arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from France.

Mr Alexander Stonor was in attendance.

The Princess Royal, Vice Patron, the British Horse Society, this morning visited Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre, Wormwood Scrubs Park, London W12, to celebrate its Thirty Fifth Anniversary and was received by Mr Kevin McGrath (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, President, Royal Yachting Association, this afternoon attended the Annual Luncheon at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.
