Her Majesty later received Commander Andrew Pariser upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer of HMS ASTUTE and Commander Christopher Bate upon assuming the appointment.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited the British Red Cross Society, 44 Moorfields, London EC2.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited the Story Museum, 42 Pembroke Street, Oxford, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mrs Marjorie Glasgow).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Old Fire Station and Damascus Rose Kitchen, 40 George Street, Oxford.

The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards visited Flo’s — the Place in the Park, Rymers Lane, Oxford.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, Chartered Management Institute, this morning held a Chartered Management Institute Women Advisory Committee Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Royal, President, UK Fashion and Textile Association, this afternoon visited Laxtons Limited, Unit 6, Sapper Jordan Rossi Park, Otley Road, Baildon, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire (Mr Edmund Anderson).

Her Royal Highness, President, UK Fashion and Textile Association, later visited Marton Mills Company Limited, Pool Mills, Pool in Wharfedale, Otley, West Yorkshire.
