The King was represented by Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer (Extra Equerry to The King) at a Service of Thanksgiving for Captain Ronald Johnson (World War II veteran) which was held at St Andrew’s Church, Shrivenham, Oxfordshire, this afternoon.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall this morning chaired a Meeting of The Prince’s Council at Windsor Castle.

His Royal Highness, President, the Earthshot Prize, this afternoon visited the Oval, Kennington, London SE11.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, President, Sport and Recreation Alliance, and The Duchess of Edinburgh today presented the Community Sport and Recreation Awards at Headingley Stadium, 49 St Michael’s Lane, Headingley, Leeds, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire (Mr Edmund Anderson).

His Royal Highness, Patron, Northern Ballet, and Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended an Ability Rehearsal at Northern Ballet Headquarters, 2 St Cecilia Street, Quarry Hill, Leeds.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Northern Ballet, and The Duchess of Edinburgh this evening attended a performance of Romeo and Juliet at Leeds Grand Theatre, 46 New Briggate, Leeds.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Senior Colonel, this morning received Major General James Bowder upon assuming his appointment as Major General Commanding the Household Division.

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, later visited King’s College London’s Portable Magnetic Resonance Imaging Project at Denmark Hill Campus, De Crespigny Park, London SE5, and was received by Mr Anthony Griffiths (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Save the Children UK, this afternoon attended the International Women’s Day Luncheon at Bluebird, 350 Kings Road, London SW3, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Richborough Roman Fort, Richborough Road, Sandwich, and was received by Brigadier Trevor Minter (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Kent).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Eastry Post Office, Sandwich Road, Eastry, Kent.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited Kent Mining Museum, Betteshanger Country Park, Sandwich Road, Deal, Kent.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited Victoria Hospital Deal, London Road, Deal, to celebrate their Centenary and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Lady Colgrain).
