Mrs Murty was also received by The King.

His Majesty received in audience the Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP today and requested him to form a new Administration. The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP accepted The King’s offer and kissed hands upon his appointment as Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury.

Lady Starmer was also received by His Majesty.

The Hon Dickon Mitchell (Prime Minister of Grenada) had an audience of The King via telephone this evening.

Dr the Hon Ralph Gonsalves (Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines) had an audience of His Majesty via telephone.

The Prince of Wales this morning held a Meeting at Windsor Castle with representatives from the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales and charities of which Their Royal Highnesses are Patrons.

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother’s National Memorial Garden at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this afternoon held a Reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

The Duke of Edinburgh, President, Creative Youth, this evening attended a Fuse International Festival performance at the Rose Theatre, 24-26 High Street, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, and was received by the Reverend Martin Hislop (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of Gloucester, Vice President, Lepra, this morning received Mrs Suzanne McCarthy (Chairman of Trustees) and Mr James Innes (Chief Executive).

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, Royal Academy of Music, this morning attended the Graduation Ceremony at Freemasons’ Hall, 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2.
