The King was represented by Sir Hew Strachan (His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tweeddale) at the Service of Thanksgiving for Captain Sir David Younger (formerly Her late Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tweeddale) which was held at Peebles Old Parish Church, Peebles, Peeblesshire, this afternoon.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs Charles Ritchie.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, this afternoon attended the Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon, London SW19.
