Sandringham, Norfolk

General the Hon David Hurley was received in audience by The King at Buckingham Palace this morning upon relinquishing his appointment as Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

Mrs Hurley was also received by The King.

His Majesty this afternoon at Clarence House received the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties Presidencies Troika, represented by Dr Sultan Al Jaber (COP28 President, United Arab Emirates), Mr Mukhtar Babayev (COP29 President-Designate) and Secretary Ana Toni (National Secretary for Climate Change, Brazil).

The King afterwards joined a Meeting at Clarence House with the representatives of the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties Presidencies Troika and Chief Executive Officers from the Private Sector.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Eric Liddell 100, this morning visited the Scots Kirk Paris Presbyterian Protestant Church, 17 Rue Bayard, Paris, France.

The Princess Royal, Member, International Olympic Committee, and President, British Olympic Association, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a screening of the Opening Ceremony of the XXXIII Olympic Games at Team GB House, Pavillon d’Armenonville, Allée de Longchamp, Paris.
