The Queen, Patron, this evening held a Reception at St James’s Palace to mark the Seventieth Anniversary of Book Aid International.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the British Paralympic Association, and The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, British Wheelchair Basketball, this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for France, and, having been received later upon arrival at Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris, by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the French Republic (Her Excellency Dame Menna Rawlings), undertook the following engagements.

Their Royal Highnesses today attended the XVII Paralympic Games.

The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess of Edinburgh this afternoon visited the Paralympic Village, 19 Boulevard Finot, Saint Ouen sur Seine, Paris.

Brigadier Alexander Potts and Mr Jason Keen are in attendance.
