Balmoral Castle

The King was represented by Admiral Sir Antony Radakin (Chief of the Defence Staff) at a Service of Thanksgiving for Sir Clive Johnstone (National President of the Royal British Legion) which was held at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster, London SW1, today.

The Princess Royal was represented by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales this morning visited Swiss Valley Primary Community School, Heol Beili Glas, Llanelli, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed (Miss Sara Edwards).

His Royal Highness, Patron, Wales Air Ambulance, this afternoon visited Llanelli Gate, Ty Elusen, Ffordd Angel, Llanelli.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, Welsh Rugby Union, afterwards visited Parc Y Scarlets, Pemberton Park, Llanelli.

St James’s Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh this afternoon attended a Luncheon for representatives of Their Royal Highnesses’ patronages based in Northern Ireland at Hillsborough Castle and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Down (Mr Gawn Rowan Hamilton).

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh afterwards attended a Garden Party at Hillsborough Castle given by the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (the Rt Hon Hilary Benn MP).

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, Defence Medical Welfare Service, this evening held a Reception at Windsor Castle.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, this morning visited The King’s Royal Hussars at Aliwal Barracks, Tidworth, Wiltshire.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Topic of Cancer, University of Surrey, Guildford, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr Michael More-Molyneux).

His Royal Highness afterwards officially opened the new freezer facility at FareShare Sussex and Surrey, Midleton Industrial Estate Road, Guildford.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, this afternoon visited the Grange Centre for People with Disabilities, Rectory Lane, Great Bookham, Surrey.

His Royal Highness, Vice Royal Patron, the Almshouse Association, later visited the Poland Trust Almshouses, Kiln Lane, Brockham, Surrey.
