The Queen this morning attended the Braemar Literary Festival at St Margaret’s Arts Centre, Braemar, Aberdeenshire.

St James’s Palace

The Duchess of Edinburgh this afternoon departed Kilimanjaro International Airport, Tanzania, for the United Kingdom.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon departed Kemble Airfield, Gloucestershire, for the Netherlands and was received upon arrival at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Her Excellency Mrs Joanna Roper).

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, later attended a Reception at the Airborne Museum Hartenstein, Utrechtseweg 232, Oosterbeek, to commemorate the Eightieth Anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem.

Colonel John Boyd and Captain Fergus Lupton are in attendance.
