COURT CIRCULAR

Admiralty House, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

The King this morning visited the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence, 166-180 George Street, Redfern, and was received by the Chief Executive Officer of the National Indigenous Australians Agency (Ms Jody Broun).

His Majesty viewed a demonstration of traditional food preparation techniques, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance performances and met community elders.

The King afterwards visited the Cowper Street Development in Glebe and was received by the Premier of New South Wales (the Hon Christopher Minns MP).

His Majesty, escorted by the Premier, toured the development and met construction apprentices and beneficiaries of social housing projects from neighbouring communities.

The King and Queen this afternoon attended the Premier’s Community Barbeque in Parramatta Park and, having been received by the Premier of New South Wales, viewed displays of regional produce and met surf lifesavers and members of the local community.

The King later joined a Sustainable Markets Initiative Meeting held by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia (the Hon Samantha Mostyn) at Admiralty House.

His Majesty, Royal Founding President, subsequently attended a Meeting of The King’s Foundation Australia at Admiralty House and was received by the Chairman (Mr Dominic Richards).

The King afterwards visited the Melanoma Institute Australia and, having been received by the Chief Executive Officer (Mr Matthew Browne), viewed a demonstration of scanning equipment and met a patient and members of staff.

His Majesty also met the Australians of the Year.

The King and Queen later drove to Sydney Opera House and met Sydney Opera House performers and members of the public, before proceeding on foot to Man O’War Steps Wharf.

Their Majesties were received with a Royal Salute and The King inspected the Guard.

The King, with The Queen, reviewed the Fleet anchored in Sydney Harbour.

At the end of the Review, His Majesty, with Her Majesty, witnessed a flypast.

The Queen this morning visited Refettorio OzHarvest Sydney, 481 Crown Street, Surry Hills.

Her Majesty, Vice-Patron, Royal Commonwealth Society, afterwards visited Green Square Library, Botany Road, Zetland, and met participants of The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, and subsequently, as Patron of The Queen’s Reading Room, met authors and representatives of local book clubs and authors.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this morning chaired the Quarterly Meeting of the Court and attended a Luncheon at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, UK Coaching, this afternoon held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate Olympic and Paralympic Coaching.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, this morning received Dr Karin von Hippel upon relinquishing her appointment as Director General.
