The King, Patron, Music in Country Churches, was represented by Sarah, Countess of Leicester at the Funeral of Mrs Mirabel Cecil (formerly Trustee) which was held at St Mary’s Church, Wiveton, Holt, Norfolk, this afternoon.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Member of the Court of Assistants, the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, this evening attended a Court of Assistants Meeting and subsequently officially opened the Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Hall and attended a Dinner at Haberdashers’ Hall, 18 West Smithfield, London EC1.

The Princess Royal this morning visited the Harrison Spinks’ Farm, Hornington Manor Farm, Oxton Lane, Bolton Percy, York, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mrs Joanna Ropner).

Her Royal Highness, Past President, the Smeatonian Society of Civil Engineers, this afternoon attended the Three Hundredth Anniversary of Smeaton’s Birth Luncheon at University House, University of Leeds, Woodhouse, Leeds, Yorkshire, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire (Mr Edmund Anderson).

The Princess Royal this afternoon visited Harrison Spinks, 6 Millennium Drive, Holbeck, Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited HM Prison Five Wells, Doddington Road, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Rock UK, Frontier Centre, Addington Road, Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, to mark the Centenary of Rock UK Adventure Centres Limited.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited the Frank Bruno Foundation, the Round-By-Round Centre, Walledwell Court, Northampton.

His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, subsequently visited Northampton General Hospital, Cliftonville, Northampton, to mark the Centenary of Northampton St John Ambulance Cadet Unit.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Kent, Honorary Member, the Athenaeum, this afternoon attended a Concert at 107 Pall Mall, London SW1.
