COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The King this afternoon held an International Sustainability Reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Rt Hon Edward Miliband MP (Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero) was received in audience by His Majesty.

The King held a Privy Council at 4.15 p.m.

There were present: the Rt Hon Lucy Powell MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Edward Miliband MP (Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero), the Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson MP (Secretary of State for Education) and the Rt Hon Angela Rayner MP (Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government).

Sir Jeremy Baker, the Lord Clark and Sir David Holgate were sworn in as members of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt Hon Lucy Powell MP had an audience of His Majesty before the Council.

Later, the Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The King.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

His Majesty was represented by the Lord Woolley of Woodford at the Funeral of Mr Alford Gardner (Windrush contributor) which was held in Leeds Minster this afternoon.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, Founder and President, the Earthshot Prize, today undertook the following engagements in Cape Town, South Africa.

His Royal Highness this morning held a Meeting with Finalists of the 2024 Earthshot Prize Awards at Kirstenbosch Gardens, Rhodes Drive, Newlands.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon held a Meeting with Prince Rahim Aga Khan at Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, South Arm Road, Waterfront.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Founding Partners’ Lunch at Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa.

The Prince of Wales this evening attended the Earthshot Prize Awards at the Earthshot Prize Dome, Green Point.

His Royal Highness later attended an Earthshot Prize Thank You Reception at the Earthshot Prize Dome.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon received Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa of Bahrain.

His Royal Highness received Major General Lisa Keetley upon assuming her appointment as Defence Services Secretary.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel, Scots Guards, this evening attended a Reception at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London W1.

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Queen’s Royal Hussars (The Queen’s Own and Royal Irish), later attended a Reception at the Cavalry and Guards Club.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this afternoon received Ms Jessica Phillips MP (Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls).

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner for Regain — the Trust for Sports Tetraplegics at the Peninsula London, 1 Grosvenor Place, London SW1.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Learning and Work Institute, and President, Carers Trust, this afternoon attended the “Driving Change” Conference at City Lit College, 1-10 Keeley Street, London WC2, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

Her Royal Highness, President, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences, this evening attended a Reception at Brunswick Group, 16 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London WC2, and was received by Ms. Roxane Zand (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Shaftesbury, later held a One Hundred and Eightieth Anniversary Dinner at St James’s Palace.

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Sarginsons Industries Limited, Torrington Avenue, Coventry, and was received by Mr Amrick Singh Ubhi (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited MNB Precision Limited, Units 3-5 Binns Close, Coventry, and was received by Mr Owen Everton Burke (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited the Foundation of Lady Katherine Leveson, Temple Balsall, Knowle, Solihull, and was received by Professor Sir Christopher Ham (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).
