COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Hon Edith Dumont was received by The King this afternoon upon her appointment as Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

The Hon Joan Marie Aylward was received by His Majesty upon her appointment as Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Mr Carl Thompson was also received by The King.

The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty this evening.

The Queen, with The Princess Royal, this evening drove to the University of London, Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), when Her Majesty received an Honorary Doctorate from the University presented by Her Royal Highness, Chancellor.

Mr Charles Anderson (Deputy Lieutenant of Essex) was present at London Stansted Airport this morning upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Indonesia and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The King.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon visited Cyfannol Women’s Aid, Newport, Monmouthshire.

His Royal Highness, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, afterwards visited the Nelson Trust, Exchange House, High Street, Newport, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent (Brigadier Robert Aitken).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, today attended the International Council at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, Debra, this afternoon attended a Luncheon at the Beaumont Hotel, Mayfair, London W1.

Her Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps, later received Colonel Paul Jackson at St James’s Palace upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Nursing Officer and Colonel Helen Winder upon assuming the appointment.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, this evening attended a Reception at the House of Commons, London SW1.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, President, Royal Yachting Association, this afternoon attended the British Olympic Sailing Team Luncheon at the Royal Thames Yacht Club, 60 Knightsbridge, London SW1, and was received by Mr Stuart Shilson (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), St John Ambulance, later attended the Young Achievers’ Reception at the Priory Church of the Order of St John, Clerkenwell, London EC1.

The Princess Royal, Member, International Olympic Committee, afterwards received the Lord Coe (Member) at St James’s Palace.

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, this evening attended Foundation Day at Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust, this morning attended the Nuffield Farming Annual Conference at Assembly Buildings Conference Centre, 2-10 Fisherwick Place, Belfast, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast (Dame Fionnuala Jay-O’Boyle).
