The King was represented by The Duke of Edinburgh at the State Funeral of President James Carter which was held in Washington National Cathedral, United States of America, this morning.

His Majesty was represented by Mrs Clare Russell (formerly Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire) at the Funeral of Sir James Walker which was held at Aberlour Parish Church, High Street, Aberlour, Banffshire, this afternoon.

The Lord Leong (Lord in Waiting) was present at Royal Air Force Northolt this evening upon the Arrival of The President of the French Republic and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The King.

Today is the Anniversary of the Birthday of The Princess of Wales.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Honorary President, this afternoon attended the Oxford Farming Conference at the Examination Schools, High Street, Oxford, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mrs Marjorie Glasgow).

Her Royal Highness, Warden, Gordonstoun School, this evening held a Dinner at Windsor Castle.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Ranger, Epping Forest, this morning received Mr Benjamin Murphy (Chairman) and Ms Jacqueline Eggleston (Superintendent).
