The King was represented by Dame Sarah Troughton (His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Lieutenant General Sir Maurice Johnston (formerly Her late Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire) which was held at St John’s Church, Long Street, Devizes, this afternoon.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were represented by Brigadier John Smedley.
The Princess Royal was represented by Captain Sir Nicholas Wright RN.
The Duke of Kent was represented by Mr Nicholas Turnbull.
Kensington Palace
The Prince of Wales, Joint Patron, NHS Charities Together, this morning visited the Oasis Staff Health and Wellbeing Centre at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, 17 Craven Road, Reading, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (Mr Andrew Try).
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon visited Doon the Beach Community Café, Shore Road, Stevenston, Ayrshire, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran (Sheriff Iona McDonald).
His Royal Highness, Patron, British Paralympic Association, later attended the World Wheelchair Curling Championships at Auchenharvie Leisure Centre, Canal Street, Saltcoats, Ayrshire.
St James’s Palace
The Princess Royal, Patron, Maritime UK, this afternoon chaired a National Council Meeting at the offices of Gallagher, the Walbrook Building, 25 Walbrook, London EC4.
Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, later opened King’s College London’s new Engineering Building, King’s Building, Strand Campus, London WC2, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).
The Princess Royal, Patron, Maritime Society and Sea Cadets, and Admiral of the Sea Cadet Corps, this evening held a Reception at Buckingham Palace.
