The King and Queen this afternoon attended the Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, and were received by the Dean of Westminster (the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle) and the Chairman of the Council of Commonwealth Societies (Dr Linda Yueh).
The Prince and Princess of Wales, The Princess Royal and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also present.
The King later launched the Commonwealth Sport King’s Baton Relay for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games from the Quadrangle of Buckingham Palace.
The King and Queen this evening attended a Reception given by the Commonwealth Secretary-General (the Baroness Scotland of Asthal) at Marlborough House, London SW1.

The Prince of Wales, Founder and President, the Earthshot Prize, this morning received Ms Hannah Jones (Chief Executive) at Windsor Castle.

Today is the Anniversary of the Birthday of The Duke of Edinburgh.
The Duchess of Edinburgh today undertook engagements in New York City, United States of America, as part of the programme for the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, attended Meetings.
The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, Plan International UK, this afternoon attended a Meeting with Youth Advocates at Swedish Gateway, 900 Third Avenue.
Her Royal Highness later attended the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan Quarterly United Nations Security Council Debate at the United Nations Security Council, United Nations Headquarters, 760 United Nations Plaza.
The Duchess of Edinburgh subsequently attended a Meeting with representatives of Women of the South Speak Out at the United Nations Headquarters.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Canal Museum Trust, this afternoon opened the “Building Britain’s Canals” Temporary Exhibition at the London Canal Museum, 12-13 New Wharf Road, London N1, and was received by Mr Paul Herbage (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
