Buckingham Palace

The King this morning attended the Graduation of the One Thousandth King’s Nursing Cadet at the Royal College of Nursing, 20 Cavendish Square, London W1, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London) and the General Secretary and Chief Executive of the Royal College of Nursing (Professor Nicola Ranger).

His Majesty viewed demonstrations of nursing scenarios by current Cadets and attended a Reception for participants and alumni of The King’s Nursing Cadet Programme.

The King, Patron, Royal Commonwealth Society, this afternoon planted a Tree in the garden of Buckingham Palace to commemorate The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy initiative.

Lady Brewer was received by The King later and delivered up the Badge and Star of the Order of the Garter worn by her husband, the late Sir David Brewer.

Lady Dunne was received by His Majesty and delivered up the Badge and Star of the Order of the Garter worn by her husband, the late Sir Thomas Dunne.

The Rt Hon Philip Dunne and Mr Nicholas Dunne, sons of Sir Thomas and Lady Dunne, and the Hon Mrs Soames, daughter, were also received by The King.

His Majesty this evening attended a Sustainable Markets Initiative Terra Carta Roundtables and Exhibitions Reception at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey.

The Queen, President, today held a Reception to mark the Fifteenth Anniversary of WOW — Women of the World.

Her Majesty, Royal Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Leeming, this afternoon received Air Commodore Paul Hamilton at Clarence House upon relinquishing his appointment as Station Commander and Group Captain John Lawson upon assuming the appointment.

The Queen, Patron, the London Clinic, received Mr Hamish Melville at Clarence House upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr Michael Bussey upon assuming the appointment.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Football Association, this afternoon visited Sporting Khalsa Football Club, Noose Lane, Willenhall, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands (Dr Derrick Anderson).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Air Commodore, today visited Royal Air Force Waddington and presented a new Standard to 51 Squadron, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire (Mr Toby Dennis).

The Duchess of Edinburgh today undertook engagements in New York City, United States of America, as part of the programme for the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this morning attended a Breakfast Meeting at the Residence of His Majesty’s Consul-General for New York.

The Duchess of Edinburgh later attended a Roundtable Meeting at United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations in New York, One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, 885 Second Avenue.

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, subsequently attended the United Nations Friends of Vision Group Side Event at the Japan Society, 333 East 47th Street.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this afternoon attended a Meeting for the United Nations Friends of Vision at the Japan Society.

Her Royal Highness afterwards attended an “Investing in Women: Accelerating Action” Reception given by His Majesty’s Acting Consul-General for New York (Her Excellency Ms Melanie Hopkins) at the Residence.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this evening attended a Children’s Investment Fund Foundation Dinner at Yara Restaurant, 319 East 53rd Street.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Past Master, the Worshipful Company of Butchers, this evening attended the Annual City Food and Drink Lecture at Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Royal Institute of British Architects, this morning travelled on the Elizabeth Line to visit Paddington Station, Praed Street, London W2, Bond Street Station, Oxford Street, London W1, and Tottenham Court Road Station, Oxford Street, London W1, and was received by Mr Steven Summers (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
