Her Excellency Ms Catherine Kirumba Karemu Wahome was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Republic of Kenya in London.
His Excellency Mr Atis Lots was received in audience by His Majesty and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Latvia to the Court of St James’s.
His Excellency Mr Biruk Mekonnen Demissie was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Court of St James’s.
Mrs Akelate Derib Ayalew was also received by His Majesty.
Sir Oliver Robbins (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.
Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton (Chief of the Air Staff) was received by The King this afternoon.
Mr Dominic Jermey was received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon his appointment as His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia and non-resident Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.
Ms Jane Marriott was received in audience by The King upon her appointment as British High Commissioner to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
His Excellency Sir Errol Charles (Governor-General of Saint Lucia) was received in audience by The King when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George.
Lady Charles was also received by The King.
Later, His Majesty held a Water and Climate Reception at Buckingham Palace for WaterAid.
