The Duke of Edinburgh, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning and this afternoon held Receptions in the garden of Buckingham Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.
The Bands of the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre and the Royal Air Force College played selections of music during the day.
His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today held a Luncheon at St James’s Palace.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today carried out the following engagements in Guernsey and was received by the Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Bailiwick of Guernsey (Lieutenant General Richard Cripwell).
Her Royal Highness this morning attended a Parade to mark the Eightieth Anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey at North Esplanade, St Peter Port, and was received by the Bailiff of Guernsey (Sir Richard McMahon).
The Princess Royal today attended a Service to mark the Eightieth Anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey at the Town Church, St Peter Port.
Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Occupation to Liberation photography exhibition at George Crossan Gallery, Market Street, St Peter Port.
The Princess Royal afterwards visited the St Peter Port parish celebrations to mark the Eightieth Anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey and opened the Visitors’ Centre at Market Square, St Peter Port.
Her Royal Highness later visited St Pierre du Bois parish celebrations to mark the Eightieth Anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey at Route des Sablons, St Pierre du Bois.
The Princess Royal afterwards visited Festung Guernsey at Batterie Mirus, Rue de l’Arquet, St Saviour.
Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner to mark the Eightieth Anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey at Les Cotils, l’Hyvreuse, St Peter Port.
