COURT CIRCULAR
Windsor Castle
The King this afternoon presented new Union Standards to the Household Cavalry at Windsor Castle and was received in the Quadrangle by Colonel The Life Guards (Lieutenant General Sir Edward Smyth-Osbourne) and Colonel The Blues and Royals (The Princess Royal).
His Majesty was received on Parade with a Royal Salute.
After the Standards were consecrated, The King presented new Standards to the Regiments.
His Majesty was graciously pleased to address the Parade and the Lieutenant Colonel Commanding (Brigadier Mark Berry) replied.
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment subsequently rode past The King and off Parade.
The King, with The Princess Royal, afterwards attended a Reception for veterans, Service personnel and Regimental families in the Home Park.
Kensington Palace
The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall this morning received Mr William Bax (Secretary of the Duchy of Cornwall) at Windsor Castle.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Edinburgh, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning and this afternoon held Receptions in the garden of Buckingham Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.
The Band and Bugles of The Rifles and the Band of the Royal Air Force Squadronaires played selections of music during the day.
His Royal Highness, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon held a Luncheon at St James’s Palace.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, London Youth, this evening visited St Andrew’s Youth Club, Alec Wizard House, 12 Old Pye Street, London SW1.
The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning visited Barleylands Farm Education Centre, Barleylands Road, Billericay, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst).
Her Royal Highness, Patron, this afternoon visited Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary, Little Farm, Buttsbury, near Ingatestone, Essex.
St James’s Palace
The Princess Royal, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, this morning attended the South Buckinghamshire Group’s Sixtieth Anniversary Celebration, Mill House Farm, Framewood Road, Fulmer, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (the Countess Howe).
Her Royal Highness, President, UK Fashion and Textile Association, this afternoon visited Luxury Lockstitch UK Limited, Unit 19, Brock Lane Mall, the Nicholsons Centre, Maidenhead, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (Mr Andrew Try).
