COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Warren Stephens was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the United States of America to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Stephens was also received by His Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Nadhavathna Krishnamra was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Thailand to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Krishnamra was also received by His Majesty.

Her Excellency Ms Genevieve Kennedy was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Liberia to the Court of St James’s.

Sir Oliver Robbins (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

The King this afternoon received Mr Scott Furssedonn-Wood upon relinquishing his appointment as British High Commissioner to Barbados, and non-resident British High Commissioner to Dominica, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia and Saint Christopher and Nevis when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Queen, Patron, Royal Academy of Dance, this morning received Mr Timothy Arthur at Clarence House upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive and Mrs Elizabeth Honer upon assuming the appointment.

Her Majesty, Patron, First Story, received Mrs Antonia Byatt at Clarence House upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive and Mrs Sophie Hiscock upon assuming the appointment.

The Queen, President, Bees for Development Trust, received Mrs Megan Denver at Clarence House upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive and Mrs Hannah Wood upon assuming the appointment.

Kensington Palace

The Prince William, Duke of Rothesay, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon visited Leith Community Centre, 12A Newkirkgate, Leith, Edinburgh, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Robert Aldridge, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

St James’s Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh this afternoon visited Small Isles Primary School, Isle of Jura, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute (Mrs Jane MacLeod).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited Jura Care Centre, Craighouse, Isle of Jura.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh later visited Jura Distillery, Craighouse.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Air Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Auxiliary Air Force, this afternoon received Air Vice-Marshal Ranald Munro upon relinquishing his appointment as Commandant General.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Kent, Patron, Blood Cancer UK, this evening held a Reception at St James’s Palace.
