Buckingham Palace
The King was represented by General Sir Roland Walker (Chief of the General Staff) at the Memorial Service for General Sir John Waters (former Commander-in-Chief, Land Forces) which was held at the Royal Memorial Chapel, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Camberley, Surrey, this afternoon.
The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by Brigadier John Smedley.
The Duke of Gloucester was represented by Colonel Peter Durrant.
The Duke of Kent was represented by Captain Pieter Myburgh.
St James’s Palace
The Princess Royal this morning departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Barbados and was received this afternoon upon arrival at Grantley Adams International Airport by the British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean (His Excellency Mr Simon Mustard).
Her Royal Highness later called upon The President of Barbados.
The Princess Royal, President, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences, this evening attended a Board Dinner at Champers Restaurant, Skeetes Hill, Bridgetown, Christ Church.
Colonel John Boyd is in attendance.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Kent this afternoon visited the Hive Community Centre and Library, Park Place, Dollar, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Clackmannanshire (Lieutenant Colonel Johnny Stewart).
His Royal Highness afterwards visited the Wee County Men’s Shed, Alexandra Street, Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire.
