COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The King spoke to The President of the United Arab Emirates via telephone this morning.

His Majesty this afternoon received Mr Ajay Banga (President of the World Bank).

Mr Andrew Murdoch was received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon his appointment as Governor of Bermuda.

Mr Colin Martin-Reynolds was received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon his appointment as Governor of Falkland Islands and His Majesty’s Commissioner for South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

Mr Sam Martin-Reynolds was also received by His Majesty.

The following were received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon their appointment as His Majesty’s Ambassador:

Mr Greg Houston (the Republic of Panama), Mrs Susannah Goshko (the United Mexican States) and Ms Elisabeth Green (the Republic of Ecuador).

Mrs Houston was also received by His Majesty.

The King received Mr Brian Moynihan (Chairman, Sustainable Markets Initiative).

The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty.

The King this evening attended a Service at The Queen’s Chapel, Marlborough Road, London SW1, to mark the Chapel’s Four Hundredth Anniversary and was received by the Bishop of London (Dean of His Majesty’s Chapels Royal).

The Queen this morning opened the British Flowers Week Exhibition at the Garden Museum, 5 Lambeth Palace Road, London SE1, and was received by Mr Anthony Griffiths (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Majesty, Patron, the Big Lunch, this afternoon visited Eden Dock, Heron Quays Road, London E14, and, having been received by Mr Leslie Morgan (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), attended a Big Lunch to mark the partnership between the Eden Project and Canary Wharf Group to transform Middle Dock into Eden Dock.

The King was represented by the Earl of Rosslyn (Lord Steward and Personal Secretary to The King and Queen) at the Memorial Service for Sir Richard Carew Pole, Bt (formerly Trustee of the Eden Project and of Tate St Ives) which was held at St James’s Church Piccadilly, London W1, this afternoon.

The Queen was represented by the Marchioness of Lansdowne.

The Princess Royal was represented by Captain Sir Nicholas Wright RN.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Dr Nicola Stacey.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Mr Nicholas Turnbull.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represented by Mrs Diane Duke.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, this morning visited the Army Air Corps at Wattisham Airfield, Ipswich, Suffolk.

The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this morning held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Elstree Studios, Shenley Road, Borehamwood, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire (Mr Robert Voss).

His Royal Highness, Member of the Court of Assistants, the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, today visited Haberdashers’ School, Butterfly Lane, Elstree, Hertfordshire.

The Duke of Edinburgh, President, the Seafarers’ Charity, this morning attended the Annual General Meeting on board HMS Wellington (1934) at Temple Stairs, Victoria Embankment, London WC2.

The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning visited the Unsilenced: Sexual Violence in Conflict Exhibition at the Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road, London SE1.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, National Coastwatch Institution, this morning visited Gorleston Station at South Pier, Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, and was received by Mrs Jane Cator (Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Royal College of Midwives, this afternoon visited Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust’s Maternity Unit, Colney Lane, Norwich, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (the Lady Dannatt).
