COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The following were received in audience by The King this afternoon and kissed hands upon their appointment as His Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Nicholas Abbott (the Republic of Albania), Mr David Ashley (the Republic of South Sudan), Ms Elizabeth Boyles (the Republic of Lithuania) and Ms Anne Sherriff (the Kingdom of Belgium).

Mrs Abbott, Mrs Ashley, Mr Patrick Dens and Mr Jayd Davies were also received by His Majesty.

Mr Simon Mustard was received in audience by The King upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.

Mrs Mustard was also received by His Majesty.

The King received Mrs Oleksandra Matviichuk (Head of the Center for Civil Liberties) and Ms Anna Nazaryk (International Advocacy Manager).

The King held a Council at 4.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Lucy Powell MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Yvette Cooper MP (Secretary of State for the Home Department), the Rt Hon Ian Murray MP (Secretary of State for Scotland) and the Rt Hon Steven Reed MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs).

Lady Carmichael and Lord Ericht were sworn in as members of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt Hon Lucy Powell MP had an audience of His Majesty before the Council.

Later, the Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty.

The Queen this morning received Sir Michael Stevens upon relinquishing his appointment as Keeper of the Privy Purse and Treasurer to The King.

Her Majesty, Patron, The Queen’s Reading Room, this afternoon received Ms Amanda Mackenzie (Chairman), Mrs Victoria Perrin (Chief Executive Officer) and Mrs Amanda MacManus (Trustee).

The Queen later attended an Event in Bedford Square, London WC1, to mark the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Women’s Prize for Fiction and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon held a Lunch.

His Royal Highness, Patron, London Mozart Players Trust, this evening held a Dinner at Windsor Castle.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Save the Children UK, this morning received Mr Moazzam Malik upon assuming his appointment as Chief Executive Officer.

Her Royal Highness, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, later attended the Trinitytide Anniversary Annual Court Meeting, Church Service and Luncheon at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Kent, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, having been received by Mr Andrew Latham (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey), this morning visited All Saints’ Church, Church Road, Warlingham, and attended a Service of Remembrance for the Fallen of the former 17th Battalion.
