Lady Elish Angiolini LT (Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland) was received by The King this morning and reported on the recent proceedings of the General Assembly.
Colonel Edwyn Launders was received by His Majesty upon his appointment as Comptroller, Lord Chamberlain’s Office.
The King and Queen later unveiled a Commemorative Cairn to mark the Centenary of Kirkcaldy War Memorial, War Memorial Gardens, Bennochy Road, Kirkcaldy, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Fife (Mr Robert Balfour) and the Chairman of Kirkcaldy Royal British Legion (Mr William Mason).
Their Majesties attended a Rededication Service at the Memorial and The King laid a wreath.
His Majesty this afternoon visited Kirkaldy Galleries, War Memorial Gardens, to mark the Galleries’ Centenary, and was received by the Chief Executive of Fife Cultural Trust (Mrs Heather Stuart).
The King, escorted by the Galleries’ Manager (Mrs Helen Stevenson), viewed local artworks as part of the Centenary Exhibition and attended a Reception with community groups.
Later, the Rt Hon John Swinney MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Government) was received in audience by His Majesty.
The King and Queen afterwards attended the Dedication of the Memorial Stone to The late Queen in St Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh, and were received at the West Door by the Dean of the Chapel Royal in Scotland (the Very Reverend Professor David Fergusson) and the Minister of St Giles’ (the Reverend Dr Scott Rennie).
The Queen, President, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, this afternoon visited Maggie’s Fife, Victoria Hospital, Hayfield Road, Kirkcaldy, and was received by Colonel James Kinloch (Deputy Lieutenant of Fife).
Her Majesty, Patron, later held a Reception for The Queen’s Nursing Institute of Scotland at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
By command of The King, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Ms Linda Scott at 6 Chandos Street, London W1, today in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as High Commissioner for the Republic of Namibia in London.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon attended a Rural Mental Health Workshop at the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival, Lannock Farm, Weston, Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
The Princess of Wales this morning visited Colchester Hospital’s Wellbeing Garden, Turner Road, Colchester, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning attended an Education Leadership Gathering at Fairmont Royal York Hotel, 100 Front Street West, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
His Royal Highness, accompanied by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario (the Hon Edith Dumont), this afternoon attended a Citizenship Ceremony at the Lieutenant Governor’s Suite, Ontario Legislative Building, Queen’s Park, Toronto.
The Duke of Edinburgh this evening departed from Toronto Pearson International Airport for the United Kingdom.

The Princess Royal this morning opened the renovated Kilmartin Museum, Lochgilphead, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute (Mrs Jane MacLeod).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Ardrishaig Community Trust at Ardrishaig Public Hall, 43 Chalmers Street, Ardrishaig.
The Princess Royal, Patron, Citizens Advice Scotland, later visited the Argyll and Bute Citizens Advice Bureau, 18 Argyll Street, Lochgilphead, and was received by Mr. Andrew Campbell (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute).
Her Royal Highness subsequently visited Mid Argyll Food Share Hub, 50 Campbell Street, Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute.
